About our Summer Institutes
Living Manuals Summer Institutes provides youth between the ages of 12-18 a revolutionary learning opportunity to engage in an interdisciplinary curriculum that is designed to provide our youth with the necessary knowledge and skills they need to navigate modern-day society successfully. The learning happens at our wellness retreat center in Primo Tapia, Baja California, an incredible black-owned space heavily focused on health, wellness, and sustainability.
The Living Manuals Summer Institutes provides a powerful learning experience for young people. It helps them understand and appreciate their culture and identity and empowers them to build community and protect themselves and their families with valuable knowledge and health and wellness practices. The program is free. Participants are chosen through an application process.

Since 2022, Living Manuals has created immersive experiences and taught essential skills to our young black youth.
